Recycling of Clothing, Shoes, and Household Items

Collection bins for clothing, shoes, accessories, and linens are now at the Transfer Station, the entrance to Public Works (near police station on Lambert Rd.), and High Plains Community Center.
This service is provided by Bay State Textiles. Orange GETS PAID by the pound for items put into these bins. In addition, keeping these items out of the hopper saves the town money on disposal costs. See full list of accepted and not accepted items.

Where do collected items go? Bay State Textiles says, "Everything we collect is either reused or recycled, depending on the condition of the item. About 45% of our collections is reusable clothing, which is sold secondhand around the world."
